UPDATE March 2020 —- coronavirus —-
We are now in lockdown due to the Covid-19 outbreak in New Zealand. Hopefully this means our numbers stay relatively low and the New Zealand health care system has the best chance to cope.
In the meantime, we remain open and available to help you with any health concerns, be them covid or non-covid!
We have moved to primarily telephone / video consultations, as part of the level 4 pandemic response, and as at the Royal College of General Practitioner’s recommendations.
We are adjusting to these well and have found we can manage most things over the phone. If you need a face to face consultation, we are happy to facilitate this. Please phone first to organise this.
At this stage we have deactivated online bookings via Manage My Health, however we aim to have this open again in the near future and will communicate with you when this is available. In the meantime, if you need an appointment, please phone via reception (09) 416 9555, and they will be happy to help you.
We ask that you please avoid turning up to the medical centre without phoning first.
Please note, telephone / video consultations will be charged at the same cost as a usual face to face consultation.
Manage My Health is still available to order repeat prescriptions through, and to communicate (via email) with your doctor.
There are dedicated coronavirus screening stations located throughout Auckland. There are strict criteria for who can be swabbed and you will need to be referred by Healthline or your GP to access these.
We are happy to review you if you have concerns you may have covid-19 (cough / sore throat / fever).

FLU VACCINES: We are awaiting our next shipment and will let you know when these come in. We need to ensure the highest risk groups are given the flu vaccine first.
We appreciate this is a difficult time. We hope you are enjoying the silver linings you can find through this unusual period.
We are here as and when you need us, and as an essential service, remain open throughout the lockdown period.
We are screening carefully, and if you do come to visit us through this time you will find it a different place to usual. (No magazines or toys, the front door locked, masks on!). This is to protect our patients and our staff, so please don’t worry if you do have to come see us. (But please phone first)…

Please enquire with reception if you would like to enrol with UHMC. Due to covid-19 we are not currently processing new enrolments, we will look at our availability post lockdown. You are welcome to put your name onto a waiting list in the meantime.
